How to delete customer data?
Understand Shopify’s limitations: Customer profiles cannot be fully deleted if they have ever had a subscription or order history, even if those subscriptions are canceled or expired. This behaviour is expected by Shopify to maintain accurate order and chargeback history.
For example, user "Henry Charles" contacted the brand owner requesting deletion of his data from Shopify and Loop. Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to Shopify admin > Customer > Open the desired profile > More actions > Erase personal data.
- A dialogue box will appear displaying the following information about the data that will be erased. Shopify takes 10 days to complete (with the option to cancel the request)
