Accessing Customer Portal from Customer Account Page

Loop Subscriptions integrates with both Shopify (new) customer accounts as well as legacy customer accounts. This guide will help you setup this integration for
(New) Customer accounts
Legacy customer accounts

Shopify (new) customer accounts

Shopify launched (new) customer accounts experience to allow a passwordless login experience for customers.

How does Loop integrate with Shopify (new) customer account?
Display "Manage subscriptions" button on "Orders" page. Clicking on button will directly log-in and redirect the customer to Subscription listing page on Loop's customer portal (without any password or OTP).

How to set it up?
Go to Loop admin > Customer portal > Accessibility > Customer account page
Stores can select concerned Customer account and Checkout profile*
Click Manage block. It will redirect merchants to Shopify Customer account page customiser.

Click on Manage Subscriptions block to add it on "Orders" page
Click Save.

Considerations/Limitations
Currently, the button content is fixed to "Manage subscriptions"
Button content is not multilingual supported

Shopify legacy customer accounts

If your store is still on Shopify legacy customer accounts then you can add a button to allow the customer to manage their subscriptions by two different methods
Add automatically
Add manually

Add "My Subscriptions" button automatically

Go to Loop admin > Customer portal > Accessibility > Customer account page
Stores can select concerned Online Store Theme*
Click Enable button. It will programmatically add the the requried place.

Add "My Subscriptions" button manually

Sometimes, the automatic installation may not work in custom themes or you might want to position the button at a different position on the page. To do this, follow the below steps -

Step 1: Under the Online Store > Themes > Actions, click on the Edit code option

Step 2: Now search for the file customers/account.liquid

Step 3: Place the below code wherever you want the button to be visible. You can add it below the page header or below the order history label.

{% render 'loop-subscriptions', type: 'customer-portal-link' %}
