Change billing/delivery schedule

Sometimes, subscribers may want to adjust how often they receive their subscriptions - for example, switching from a 1-month to a 2-month delivery cycle. This could be due to changing consumption habits, travel plans, or other personal reasons.


Loop makes this process effortless through its intuitive customer portal, allowing subscribers to update their delivery frequency on their own, without needing to contact support. This ensures a smoother experience for both brand and subscriber.

Enabling edit billing/delivery schedule setting


Follow these steps to complete the process.


  1. Navigate to Loop > Customer portal > Preferences > Subscription action section > Edit billing/ delivery schedule setting.



  1. Enable this setting to allow customers to edit their billing or delivery frequency directly from the customer portal. You can also define the maximum interval that can be selected.


Note: The subscription discount will remain unchanged even if different discounts are configured for different delivery frequencies. To automatically recalculate the discount based on the newly selected frequency, make sure to enable the second setting shown in the screenshot.



Customer portal experience


Once this setting is enabled, the customer will be able to see an Edit button, which will allow them to choose between the delivery intervals that you have set up on the selling plans.


Follow these steps to complete the process.


  1. The customer will log in to the customer portal, open the desired subscription, and click the "Edit" button present in the Subscription plan section.



  1. The edit plan drawer will open. The customer can then select the desired frequency interval from the given choices.


Note: You can also change the next order date by clicking on the displayed date and selecting a new one from the calendar. By default, the next order date is shown based on the previously set frequency schedule.



  1. On clicking the Confirm button, the new frequency plan is applied, and the discount is recalculated accordingly.



Admin portal experience


There might be situations where a subscriber contacts the brand and asks to change the frequency plan. In such cases, the brand can manually change the selling plan frequency of that particular subscription on behalf of the subscriber from the Loop admin portal.


Follow these steps to complete the process.


  1. Navigate to Loop > Subscriptions > Search for the customer with “Subscription ID” by going to the Subscriptions tab.



  1. Click on the "Edit" button in the Subscription details section.



  1. The Edit subscription details drawer will open. Admin can update key settings such as frequency, next order date, billing hour, recalculate discounts per new frequency, anchor day, and more. Click on Save to apply the changes.
