Loop's advanced checkout links help acquire more subscriptions from different channels, including offline stores.
Key highlights of checkout links
List of all active checkout links in one place. No hassle of maintaining links in different sheets.
Granular performance tracking: Analyze clicks, conversions (click to purchase), and revenue generation for each link at an overall level.
UTM/Campaign parameters configuration allows brands to track checkout sessions on 3rd party pixel trackers based on traffic source, campaign name and other parameters.
Improved reliability: Developed a more robust & reliable checkout experience, allowing brands to be worry-free.
Brands primarily leverage checkout links to
Generate QR code and display it on offline store product shelves, converting walk-in customers into subscribers.
Embed links in email marketing campaigns targeting repeating customers who are not subscribers.
Creating checkout links is a very simple 4-step process. You can create and manage checkout links at Loop admin > Quick actions > Checkout links.
Internal name: Click on "Create checkout link" and enter an "Internal name" to help distinguish different links on list view.
Order items: Select all the order items in required quantities along with relevant purchase options (one-time or subscription) including specific selling plan (if applicable).
Discount code (optional): Enter the applicable Shopify discount code. Make sure that the discount code is applicable for the subscription purchase option.
UTM/Campaign parameters (optional): Configure the required UTM/campaign parameters which will be useful in tracking checkout behaviour of traffic coming from different sources/campaigns etc.
Click on "Generate" to create and save your checkout link. It will have to be shared with the customers for them to experience the quick checkout.
Customers go through a seamless checkout redirection experience with following steps:
Scans the QR or clicks on the embedded checkout link.
A loader state is displayed for less than a second while Loop adds required product variants and discount code (if any).
Checkout screen is loaded for configured product variants, with pre-applied discount (if eligible) and UTM parameters attached in checkout URL.
Once the checkout links start casting their magic, brands can start tracking the performance for each link as well as across all links at overall level. Highlighting specific metrics tracked at each level and it's definitions:
Link performance: Clicks, Conversion, and Checkout revenue.
Overall performance: Click, Conversion, Checkout revenue, MRR added
Checkout analytics: Leverage 3rd party pixel tracker to analyze checkout behaviours based on UTM parameters attached in links. Loop doesn't provide checkout behavioural analytics.
Checkout links can be a really great source of acquisition but there are a few considerations to keep in mind for best customer experience:
Products unavailable: Customers will see an error screen ("Something went wrong") and will be auto-redirected to home page if any of the order item(s) is unavailable for sale on online store.
Ineligible/inactive discounts: Products will be added but discount will not be applied if in case the discount configured is inactive/ineligible when the link is clicked.
Prepaid selling plans: As of 6th Jan 2025, checkout links can't be generated for prepaid selling plans
Bundle: As of 6th Jan 2025, checkout links can't be generated for any bundle.
