Influence + Loop integration
This integration enables your customers to apply discount codes that are generated by Influence.io for both initial subscription purchases and recurring subscription orders.
Pre-requisites
Before setting up integration, we need to make sure these things are in place.
- You should have an active Influence.io account. If not, please create from here.
How to integrate Influence.io with Loop?
Generating Loop API token
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to Loop > Settings > Api tokens > Click on Generate new token
- Add a Name for this token (For eg, Influence), select the permission as Webhooks - Read & Write and click on Generate.
Integrating Loop with Influence
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to influence.io account and under integration select Loop.
- Paste the API token and click on Save. The integration will be enabled.
How to set up subscription specific reward rules?
Setting up earn rules
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to Influence.io app > Loyalty program and click on Earn and redeem section
- Under 'Add ways to earn section' click on Add option to earn and select Loop subscription created trigger.
- Configure the points awarded settings and click on create.
Setting up redeem rules
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to Earn & Redeem section. Under "Add ways to redeem points", click on Add option to redeem and select one of the subscription rewards.
- Configure discount settings to determine how the discount will work, such as how many points it will cost to redeem, and what the discount value should be. Click on create to save the redeem rule. Loop subscription-specific discounting rules have now been set up.
Setting up referral rules
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to Referral > Reward customers & their friends > Click on add reward
- Create the rewards for both cases: "How customers get rewarded for referrals" and "How friends get rewarded"
Enabling Loyalty widget on your Loop customer portal
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Go to influence > Settings > Platform API Settings
- Copy Shop key and API key
- Navigate to Loop > Tools & apps > Apps > Influence > Set-up instructions, paste the Shop Key and API Key and click on Connect.
- The loyalty widget will be enabled on the customer portal.
FAQs
Will the discount codes generated for all loyalty programs also apply to subscription purchases?
No, the discount codes generated via subscription rewards only will be applicable for subscriptions.
How to change the loyalty widget texts?
You can change the texts by heading over to Loop > Tools & apps > Apps > Influence > "Texts" tab.
How do I change the color of the widget?
The widget can be customized from customer portal > Themes > styles. You can even add a custom CSS to match your brand's tonality!
