What are order notes and attributes?

Order notes typically refer to any specific instructions or messages that the customer has included with their order. These could include requests for special handling or shipping instructions, additional product customization requests, or any other relevant information that the customer would like the seller to be aware of.

Order attributes, on the other hand, are predefined characteristics that can be associated with an order to help with tracking or inventory management. These could include things like the product color, size, style, shipping method, payment method used, or any other information that the seller may find useful for fulfilling the order.

Note ⇾ Attributes occur in Key - Value pairs

Fraud prevention: Order attributes can be used to flag orders that are suspected of being fraudulent, based on criteria such as unusual shipping addresses or payment methods.

Inventory management: Order attributes can be used to track inventory levels and ensure that the correct products are being shipped to customers.

Reporting and analytics: Order attributes can be used to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order volume, revenue, and average order value, which can help sellers identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
