Customer portal payment preferences
- Loop allows you to control whether customers can update their payment details on the portal. You can enable or disable this feature, giving customers the ability to restrict or make changes to their payment information as needed.
Update the current payment method
- If enabled, the customer will be able to see the update or change button in the payment details section on the customer portal. The customer can click on "Update" and update their current card and billing address.
Switching to new payment method
- When the customer clicks "Change" on the customer portal in the payment section, a list of all the cards mapped to the customer profile on Shopify will appear with an option to "Apply this payment method to all subscriptions" setting button.
- Customer also has the option to add a new card also where they can just enter their card details and billing address details. The new card will then be available in the payment method list to choose from.
