Subscriptions migration
Loop offers seamless tools and white-glove services to help you transition existing subscriptions from your current platform/app into Loop. This guide explains both the automated migration by our migration experts and the manual migration options for smaller volumes. We recommend reaching out to us at migrations@loopwork.co for a smooth, white-glove experience.
There are two ways to migrate subscriptions
- White-glove migration by Loop team
- Manual migration using Loop’s inbuilt utility

Prerequisites
Here are a few things that you are required to have before we proceed further with this guide
- A valid Shopify merchant account
- Loop Subscriptions app installed on the store.
- In the case of legacy/non-Shopify platforms - Payment migration has to be completed prior to subscription migration.
- Access to the platform or app from which you want to migrate the subscriptions.
- Must satisfy Shopify’s eligibility criteria for Subscriptions.

White-glove migration service
Reach out to us at migrations@loopwork.co to have your subscriptions migrated by our professional team of migration experts who ensure that our customers are ensured a white-gloved, stress-free experience. All that is needed would be a data export from the platform that you are migrating from, and we will take care of the rest.

Manual subscription migration
The merchant can choose to manually migrate their subscriptions from other platforms to Loop using the inbuilt utility. This facilitates the migration process by allowing you to create the subscription contract manually on the platform.
Requirements
- At least one subscription-compatible payment method in Shopify.
- Check for compatible Shopify payment methods
You can use our Payment Migration Guide to import payment tokens first.
Follow these steps to complete the process.
- Navigate to Loop app > Subscriptions > Create subscription manually
- Search for customer and fill in product and plan details, and click on Save and review.
