How does OpenBorder work with Loop?
OpenBorder seamlessly integrates with Loop to simplify international shipping for recurring orders. When you integrate OpenBorder, Loop fetches accurate shipping rates, including taxes and duties, for the regions selected by you. This ensures that each order is priced correctly, providing a smooth, transparent international shipping experience.
The shipping price are updates based on the auto-updates shipping price settings configured by you, ensuring that rates are always current. OpenBorder’s functionality only applies to the eligible countries selected by you during the integration, further streamlining the process. For countries outside the selected list, shipping rates are fetched directly from Shopify.
This combination of features simplifies cross-border logistics and international shipping, without disrupting the domestic shipping process.

How to connect Loop with OpenBorder?
- Navigate to Loop admin > Tools & apps > Apps > Delivery management > OpenBorder and click on connect.
- Under the set-up instruction tab, select the eligible countries where OpenBorder rates should be fetched and add the API key and Brand code. Please note : Reach out to your OpenBorder POC to get the API key and Brand code
- Click on connect to enable the integration.
Implementation of major use-cases
Enable auto-updates shipping prices setting to calculate correct shipping prices
- Head over to Loop app and navigate to Settings > Auto-updates > Auto-update shipping prices
- Enable the preferences as per your business requirement to correctly re-calculate shipping prices using OpenBorder on multiple subscription actions.
- [Optional] Click on 'Recalculate shipping prices' to initiate the bulk action that will re-calculate the shipping prices for all the subscription contracts. For OpenBorder eligible countries, rates will be fetched via OpenBorder; else rates will be fetched via Shopify.
