Email Notifications

Loop Subscription automatically sends emails to your customers based on the various subscription events. These emails keep your customers informed about their ongoing subscriptions and empower them to take timely actions as per their choice.

How to access the Customer Email Settings?


These notifications can be accessed by going to Settings > Notification. These emails can be turned on/off as per your business needs.




Types of Customer Email Notifications


Following customer email notifications are available in the Loop subscriptions.

New subscriptionSent to the customer when they start a new subscription
Customer portal link emailSent to the customer when they request to generate a new customer portal link
Subscription rescheduledSent to the customer when their subscription is rescheduled
Subscription delayedSent to the customer when their subscription is delayed
Subscription pausedSent to the customer when their subscription is paused
Subscription resumedSent to the customer when a subscription is resumed back
Subscription marked for cancellationSent to the customer when their prepaid subscription is marked for cancellation
Subscription cancelledSent to the customer when their subscription is cancelled
Subscription reactivatedSent to the customer when their subscription is reactivated
Subscription expiredSent to the customer when their subscription has expired
Upcoming orderSent to the customer to remind them about the upcoming subscription order
Order skippedSent to the customer when their upcoming order is skipped
Order unskippedSent to the customer when their order is unskipped
Order partially billedSent to the customer when a subscription order is partially billed due to a few items being out of stock
Product out of stockSent to the customer when a subscription order is delayed or skipped due to items being out of stock
Payment failed with retries leftSent to the customer when their payment fails and will be automatically reattempted
Last payment retry leftSent to the customer when their payment fails and only one retry is remaining
Payment failedSent to the customer when their payment fails after the final retry or retry is not enabled
Card expiringSent to the customer when their card is about to expire. Emails will be sent out at 30, 15, and 3 days before card expiry date.
Customer activation mailSent to the customer when they start a new subscription and have not created the Shopify customer account





Types of Admin Email Notifications


Following admin email notifications are available in the Loop subscriptions.

Subscription resumedSend to the admin when a paused subscription is resumed

Order skippedSend to the admin when an upcoming order is skipped
Order shippedSend to both the admin and user once an order has been shipped out
Product out of stockSend to both the admin and user before or on order deadline day if items are out of stock
Payment failed with retry #1Send to both user and admin after one automatic payment failure and automatic reattempt
Payment failed with retry #2Same as above but after two automatic failures and automatic reattempt
Payment failed with retry #3Same as above but after three automatic failures; no more retries will be attempted
Payment charged successfully after retry #3Sent to both user and admin if funds are captured within 24 hours after final notice





How to edit the Email Template?


Loop allows you full control to edit the Email templates on Loop using HTML to customize your email alerts being sent to your customers. You can do this by clicking on any of the blue hyperlinks on the Email Notification page. It will open a new page which will feature an HTML code editor. Customize your email using Email Variables to add a touch of personalization to your emails.

You can also preview how your template looks to the customer by going to the preview button next to the Body button.



You can also send test mail to check its appearance before it reaches your customers, ensuring everything looks as expected.
