Pre-requisites

There are a few prerequisites that the Loop team requires to be done on the Bold app /platform before we are able to proceed with a subscription import.

Pre-requisites on Bold app

Pause all subscription feature flag must be enabled on your Bold app. (reference) (guide)
Request for a migration data export from Bold support team (guide)
You must be using a payment provider in Bold v1 that is compatible with Shopify for subscriptions
If you are using the Build a box feature on the Bold app - then an API token would need to be created and shared with the Loop team (guide)

For enabling the pause all subscription feature on your store. It will be required to reach out to Bold customer care / support, as this is not available on the app by default.

If you are using Bold cashier (or) an unsupported payment provider with Bold v1 for handling payments → please reach out to us at support@loopwork.co as this guide does not cover the same.

Pre-requisites on Loop app

You must be live with the Loop widget on the storefront. (guide)
The store must be on any of the paid plans offered by loop. (starting at $99/pm)
Connect your current supported PSP in Bold (Authorize / Braintree / Stripe) to Loop (guide)

For any help with getting setup with the Loop app on the store, reach out to us over at support@loopwork.co

Request Bold team for a migration data export

Since the native export functionality in bold does not provide all the relevant data points needed to action a migration - we would need to reach out to Bold support to help provide us with a migration data export.

There are two ways to do this

Reach out to Bold via Live chat from the Bold app on the store
Reach out to Bold support via migration help article (reference)

To make things easier - we've just written a quick text that you can simply copy and paste to the Bold chat.

Hi - we would like to request for a migration data export from the Bold app and also for the pause all feature flag (reference) to be enabled on our store.
>
> I confirm that we have read through the documentation shared on the help center

How to create an API token in Bold V1

This is an optional step and is only required in the case that you are using Bold v1's build a box feature.

Head over to the Bold app > Integrations > Create Private Key

Enter a handle name - for example loop-migrations and hit the create button

Copy the private API key and the handle and share with the Loop team to start the data fetch using the keys.

Once you have satisfied the prerequisites mentioned above, the loop team will be able to help you bring subscriptions over from your Bold app.

Please reach out to us on support@loopwork.co with the required information and our team will help you get things over the line with our dedicated migration for a white glove migration experience on any of our paid plans.

To understand more about the options you have while migrating to loop, refer to this article to better your understanding of the overall process.

Here is a quick email template to kick-start things 🙂

Subject line : {Brand Name} Migration from Bold V1 -> Loop
> Email content
> Source platform - Bold v1
> Payment platform - {Insert your currently connected PSP on Bold}
> Payment platform API key - {Insert API key from PSP}
> API - handle name - {insert api token handle name}
> API - private key - {insert api token private key}
> Data exports - Attached to email

Once the migration process has been completed - the team will enable the Pause all subscription option on your Bold app to prevent any customers from getting doubly charged across the two platforms.

A detailed report of the activity will also be shared as part of our migration process communication, and the original files will be maintained in a Google Drive for your future reference.
